Registration
Perform
the following steps to register on Malay Portal website:
2.1 Double click the browser icon (Internet Explorer 7.0 or 8.0 or Mozilla Firefox 3.2) to open a blank browser page.
2.2 Type the following URL and hit enter –
http://Malaycivilization.ukm.my
2.3 Portal Home Page would appear. (Figure 1‑1 Malaycivilization Portal Home Page)
2.4 There is a login section on the top right hand side of the page. Please refer to the screenshot below:

2.5 Click on the Signup for New User link on the login section to open the registration page.
OR
Click on
the Register Now link in “Available Databases” section in the
center of the page as shown in the following screen:

2.6 The registration screen will appear as shown below:

2.7 Enter the information as asked. All the fields are mandatory.

Login/Logout
Login
Perform
the following steps to login to the Malay Portal application:
3.1 Double click the browser icon (Internet Explorer 7.0 or 8.0 or Mozilla Firefox 3.2) to open a blank browser page.
3.2 Type the following URL and hit enter –
http://Malaycivilization.ukm.my
3.3 Portal Home Page would appear. (Figure 1‑1 Malaycivilization Portal Home Page)
3.4 There is a login section on the top right hand side of the page. (Figure 2‑1 Portal Login Section)
3.5 Enter User ID and Password.
3.6 Click
on the 
button.
3.7 On entering correct User ID and Password User Home Page is displayed. (Figure 1‑2 Malaycivilization Portal User Home Page)
% If the user enters incorrect User ID
or Password, then following error message would be displayed:
% Enter correct User ID.
% Enter correct password.
% Click on button.
Logout
Perform
the following steps to logout from the Malay Portal application:
3.8 Click

3.9 On successful log out you will be redirected to the home page. (Figure 1‑1 Malaycivilization Portal Home Page)
4 My Profile
Perform the following steps to view My Profile page in the Malay Portal application:
4.1 Double click the browser icon (Internet Explorer 7.0 or 8.0 or Mozilla Firefox 3.2) to open a blank browser page.
4.2 Type the following URL and hit enter –
http://Malaycivilization.ukm.my
4.3 Portal Home Page would appear. (Figure 1‑1 Malaycivilization Portal Home Page)
4.4 There is a login section on the top right hand side of the page. (Figure 2‑1 Portal Login Section)
4.5 Enter User ID and Password.
4.6 Click
on the button.
4.7 On entering correct User ID and Password User Home Page is displayed. (Figure 1‑2 Malaycivilization Portal User Home Page)
4.8 Go
to the top navigation bar to select 
link. (Figure 1‑4 Portal Top

4.9 Click
on link. The following screen will appear:

4.10 This screen contains information about the current logged in user.
4.11 The
information displayed is editable.
4.12 Click
on to close the screen.
4.13 To
edit the information, clear the values already present and enter new values.
4.14 Click

confirmation message will appear on the screen as shown in screen below.

5 Forgot Password
Perform
the following steps in case password is forgotten:
5.1 Double click the browser icon (Internet Explorer 7.0 or 8.0 or Mozilla Firefox 3.2) to open a blank browser page.
5.2 Type the following URL and hit enter –
http://Malaycivilization.ukm.my

5.4 There is a login section on the top right hand side of the page. (Figure 2‑1 Portal Login Section)
5.5 Click

5.6 Following screen would open up:

5.8 Enter User ID and Registered Email id.

5.10 If correct details are entered then following screen would appear:

5.11 A mail would be sent to the registered email id containing the new password.
5.12 Click

% If the user enters incorrect User ID

% Click on button.
% Go to

6 Tell A Friend
Perform
the following steps to tell your friend about this website:
6.1 Double click the browser icon (Internet Explorer 7.0 or 8.0 or Mozilla Firefox 3.2) to open a blank browser page.
6.2 Type the following URL and hit enter –

the following steps to write to helpdesk:

7.2 Type the following URL and hit enter –

10 Quick Search
10.1 Log in to the Malay Portal application. Go to section 2.Login/Logout for login steps.
10.2 Go to the top navigation bar to access the Quick Search functionality. (Figure 1‑4 Portal Top Navigation Menu (Post Login))
10.3 Enter the string to be searched in the text area given before Search button.
10.4 Click
